President Donald Trump reported more than $1.4 billion in income tied to his family's cryptocurrency ventures in 2025, making digital assets by far the largest driver of his earnings, according to an annual financial disclosure released Tuesday by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics. The 927-page filing shows Trump's companies received nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial, the crypto venture he co-founded with his sons β€” including more than $520 million from token sales and over $250 million from the sale of business interests. That figure marks a roughly ninefold jump from the $57.35 million Trump reported from World Liberty a year earlier. He also reported $635 million from sales of his "meme" coins bearing his name. Reuters has estimated that the Trump family has generated at least $2.3 billion from crypto-related projects since Trump returned to the White House in 2025. The disclosure comes as his administration has pursued policies widely seen as favorable to the crypto industry, including looser stablecoin regulations and reduced enforcement activity by federal regulators. Crypto aside, Trump's golf and resort businesses brought in more than $500 million, up about 15% from the previous year. The filing also lists $80 million in income from legal settlements with media companies including ABC, CBS, Meta and YouTube, and roughly $52 million from licensing deals allowing overseas developers to use the Trump name, driven largely by Middle East partnerships. Unlike previous presidents, Trump did not divest his assets or place them in a blind trust upon taking office; the Trump Organization says the holdings are managed by third-party institutions with automated trade execution. The disclosure has renewed bipartisan criticism over potential conflicts of interest, which the White House has firmly denied. Historian Douglas Brinkley called the scope of Trump's financial interests without precedent among modern presidents. --- *
